Evidence-Based Practice: Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD

In Evidence-Based Practice: Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, individuals will examine and identify symptoms and subtypes of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Participants will learn how to utilize the gold standard and evidence-based treatment for OCD, exposure and response prevention (ERP). Individuals will learn how to utilize OCD assessment tools including the YBOCS and CYBOCS, examine case studies, participate in hierarchy building exercises, and gain ability to utilize ERP in their current client practice.

Learning objectives:

  • Differentiate OCD vs. OCPD
  • Identify subtypes of OCD
  • Administer YBOCS and CYBOCS
  • Utilize ERP in your practice
  • Identify common stuck points in treatment
  • Offer local and national resources to clients

Beth Brawley MA, LPC runs her private practice, Life Without Anxiety LLC, where she treats individuals of all ages who suffer from OCD, anxiety disorders, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. Beth has previously completed the BTTI training through the IOCDF Beth speaks locally and nationally on the topic of ERP, OCD, and BFRB’s.
