Sparlin Mental Health (Sparlin) is looking to add a full-time Mental Health Professional (MHP) to the Sparlin@Home Team to provide trauma-informed community-based crisis stabilization services for youth and families in the St. Louis region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive team that partners with youth and families in our communities who are impacted by emotional and behavioral health conditions, including those related to trauma, systemic oppression, and racism. Sparlin@Home works to engage youth, families, and young adults in strengthening core capacities to cope with daily stressors amplified by mental health symptoms while working to strengthen essential resiliency factors to keep youth and families together.  Additionally, Sparlin@Home team members work closely with other stakeholders and providers within the system of care throughout the St. Louis region to build comprehensive and trauma-informed crisis stabilization treatment plans.  The ideal candidate will possess a deep compassion for the intersections of trauma, mental health, family resilience, institutionalized racism, evidence-based practice, and culturally responsive practice to ensure equitable mental health outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess deep compassion for the intersections of trauma, mental health, resilience, institutionalized racism, evidence-based treatments, and a culturally responsive practice to ensure equitable mental health outcomes. In addition, a well-qualified candidate will have received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), or other EBT’s. Experience working with multi-problem, suicidal adolescents, adults and families is preferred, but not required.
