Alix Weitman is an Outpatient Therapist at Sparlin Mental Health. In this role, Alix provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, adults and families, in addition to co-facilitating a weekly DBT Skills Group.

Alix specializes in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety and emotion dysregulation. Alix also holds a Certificate in Violence and Injury Prevention. Prior to joining the team at Sparlin, Alix completed a practicum at ALIVE in St. Louis, which consisted of working the crisis helpline and providing therapy to survivors of interpersonal trauma. Working towards meaningful goals alongside her clients is one of Alix’s favorite aspects of her role as a therapist.

Although she has been living in St. Louis for more than a decade, Alix is a Chicago native. When she is not at work, Alix enjoys walking and spending time with her two rescue dogs. Alix also loves listening to podcasts, hiking and reading.
