As a member of the Clinical Leadership team, Brianne Serdar supervises the DBT program and in-home crisis stabilization services at Sparlin Mental Health. Brianne has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families in a variety of settings, including practicing psychotherapy.
With more than 17 years in the field of social work, Brianne’s career was inspired by her interest in people and the diversity of human experiences. Prior to her tenure at Sparlin, Brianne helped treat individuals and families in transitional housing and served in community action organizations. Her clinical experience includes treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, family conflict, emotion dysregulation, borderline personality disorder and life transition issues. Brianne is actively involved in the Missouri Department of Mental Health, and is currently training in Exposure and Response Prevention to treat OCD, and other anxiety disorders.
Brianne has several hobbies, including knitting and baking. She also enjoys taking trips to the Missouri Botanical Garden to see the English Woodland Garden, and practices the radical acceptance she teaches in Sparlin’s weekly skills group to maintain wellness.
