Christina Goering is a Mental Health Professional at Sparlin Mental Health. Basing her interventions in CBT, DBT and MI, Christina teaches individuals and families the skills that can help prevent out-of-home placement.
Christina is a former high school Spanish teacher. Her experiences working with students and their families helped to cultivate an interest in social work and mental health counseling. An Iowa native, Christina moved to St. Louis for graduate school and completed post-graduate work at the mental health clinic, St. Louis DBT. She also completed an internship at Logos School, an alternative therapeutic high school.
When she is not at Sparlin, Christina enjoys composing and playing music with her friends, as well as filming music videos. She practices mental wellness by actively participating in her church community, spending time with friends, getting adequate sleep, exercising and journaling.
