Emily Dreher has a multi-faceted role as Leader of Clinical Services at Sparlin Mental Health. Her time is divided between providing outpatient therapy to adolescents and adults, coordinating clinical services and staff supervision. Emily is also a member of the DBT team, which hosts weekly meetings to help develop new skills among participants.

Emily discovered her calling as a therapist as a freshman in high school, when she befriended a young woman who was grieving the loss of her older sister. This friendship cultivated her ability to connect with people by being empathetic, compassionate and nonjudgmental. Prior to joining Sparlin, Emily served as a psychometrist, and interned at Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis. Emily specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and pervasive emotion dysregulation.

Emily is a native St. Louisan who enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants and going to stand-up comedy shows. She and her husband have a young son and a basset hound.
