Jamie Martos is a Mental Health Professional in the community-based crisis stabilization program at Sparlin Mental Health. Through her work in this program, Jamie teaches individuals and families the skills that can help prevent out-of-home placement.
Early in her career, Jamie spent a few years working in a group home for adolescent boys. This experience stayed with her, eventually leading her to pursue a graduate degree in Social Work to help bring healing to survivors of severe trauma. Her experience includes working with youth with multiple diagnoses, and providing educational and clinical interventions to local youth. Jamie considers celebrating change with her clients, whether big or small, the most rewarding part of her career.
As a native of southern California, Jamie enjoys spending time by the ocean. Jamie is also passionate about live theater, and has greatly enjoyed visiting The Muny and The Fabulous Fox Theatre since relocating to St. Louis. She also has an energetic cat and an aquarium with three shrimps to keep her busy in her spare time.
