Katharine McCormick is a Mental Health Professional in the community-based crisis stabilization program at Sparlin Mental Health. Through her work in this program, Katharine teaches individuals and families the skills that can help prevent out-of-home placement.
Prior to pursuing her Master of Social Work, Katharine obtained a Master of Divinity and directed the Young Adult Ministries Program at a large church congregation. In this position, she enjoyed supporting young people and their families during pivotal moments. Katharine continues to enjoy working with families and accompanying clients through real-time problem solving and considers the resilience she sees in her clients as one of the most rewarding aspects of her position at Sparlin.
Katharine was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, and visited St. Louis frequently before relocating to the area for graduate school. Outside of her career, Katharine enjoys reading, swimming, embroidery, and attending open craft time at Perennial.
